The men using beauty standards to delegitimize the hard work of conventionally attractive and talented women in sports media are the same men who refuse to mentor or meet with or work with promote the work of women in sports media they don't view as conventionally attractive.

You're either so pretty that men side-eye your success at every turn or you're not pretty enough to even be considered a candidate for success, it is a lose-lose situation, and super fun for women on all sides of the beauty spectrum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

And because I didn’t state it in this thread, let me stress that I am in awe of @MariaTaylor. She’s one of the best in the business and is annoyingly amazing at everything she does. Sports media is better because she’s in it. I cannot say the same for the media men bashing her ..
