@LupeFiasco's "The Cool" Saga explained: a thread

We all know by now that Lupe is the master of concept albums, but this story is a little different as it also dates back to his debut album, Food & Liquor

RTs appreciated
While this story is the primary topic of the album with the same name, "The Cool" Saga actually starts even before that.

This thread will include 6 songs, 2 of them being from Food & Liquor and the other 4 being from The Cool.
THE CHARACTERS:

-The Cool: named Michael Young History (and pronounced My Cool Young History), he's the protagonist of the saga.

-The Streets: a ruthless female who ends up being the personification of street life.

-The Game: represents life as a hustler/drug dealer/pimp.
Song #1: "He Say, She Say"
(Food & Liquor)

The song introduces a young bright boy, who turns out to be Michael Young History.

We find out that Michael's father abandoned his family, which ends up having permanent effects on the young boy, as we will see later on.
Song #2: "The Coolest"
(The Cool)

In The Coolest, Michael has grown up and the song gives us an insight about how he ended up living a thug life.

Michael met a sexy girl, The Streets, and ended up loving her, but what he didn't know is that she was manipulating him and his
emotions.

The Streets promised Michael fame and fortune, but that deal included him slinging drugs for The Game.

Being in love with the streets and failing to resist the money, Michael ends up following his father's steps in abandoning his own child and baby mother.
Song #3: "Gotta Eat"
(The Cool)

Believe it or not, this entire song is rapped from the perspective of a cheeseburger.
With that being said, Lupe was still able to use that to continue this saga.

Michael's wealth and status, along with his relationship to The Streets, has
made The Game jealous. The latter therefore ends up threatening Michael.
Unfortunately for him, that wasn't the end of it as the thug life starts to take a toll on him.

This made Michael try some desperate attempts to improve his life, such as visiting a church for some advice
but it ends up failing.

The desperation continued to the point where Michael tries to turn himself to the police as a final attempt to escape this horrid life, but even that doesn't work as most of the force is bought and paid for by The Game.
Song #4: The Die
(The Cool)

Michael's friend tells him about some rumors he heard in the streets. There are men out there who got jealous of Michael's fame and fortune and ended up deciding to assassinate him.

At the same time, The Game hired some hitmen to take out Michael
after his relationship with The Streets became too intimate for The Game's liking.

The song ends with a minute and a half interlude during which Michael is shot 6 times by the hitmen, resulting in his death.
Song #5: "Superstar"
(The Cool)

Michael arrives at the gates of Heaven, where he finds the divine bouncer St. Peter.

Considering Michael's past on, he is denied access to Heaven and even Hell.

Instead, he is sent back to earth and is told to do some good for once in his life.
Song #6: "The Cool"
(Food & Liquor)

Michael is back on earth as he finds himself trapped in his own casket. He is no longer Michael Young History, but became The Cool.

The latter decides to claw his way out using his gold chain, also resorting to using his mouth and eating some
of the dirt as he finally reaches the surface.

The Cool then heads home, but catches a glimpse of himself in the window of a subway car. Surprisingly, his awful appearance doesn't seem to shock him.

On his way back, he arrives at the same spot where he was shot. There, he finds
some kids attempting to sell him drugs, which makes him feel weird as he is used to be on the opposite side.

Suddenly, these kids pull out a gun and attempt to rob him, with the gun being the same one that got him killed.
When being pressured, The Cool surprisingly remained calm and reminded the listener of the life he had before ending up where he is now:

"hustler for death, no heaven for a gangsta".
