Twerton Gate Incident Update: We are prioritising finding a suitable, safe location to install a crane to lift boats and inspect them. The lifting operation will be led by Canal & Rivers Trust, and will be carried out by RCR. EA staff will support and attend the inspections.

We have put a process in place for compensation claims from members of the community affected by this event. We are asking people to contact us if they believe they have a legitimate and reasonable claim for compensation

The next community meeting will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon at the welfare facility near Lidl. Please note we are asking that only 2 people per boat attend the event, to ensure we can safely manage social distancing.

We have staff available at our ICU, which will be in a new location from tomorrow at the Bath Spa Locksbrook Campus. If you need help or have any questions you don’t need to wait for a community meeting, you can come along and talk to us at any point between 9am and 5pm.
