I want to give an unbiased opinion. You may not like it. I'll talk from two angles.

As a doctor, and as a private hospital owner.
Actually it will be biased.

From both sides.

As a doctor we sometimes see laughable offers when we look for jobs.

Seemingly low wages that are not simply befitting for our certificate they're not right and should not be accepted. Not by any means.

We say it can not be us.
As a business man you own and run a private hospital. You've done this a while and you can estimate how much income the hospital recieves and how much recurrent expenditure you can afford to pay for that time being.

Unfortunately, it's low. Say, about 100 000 for your system.
It's not that you don't want to pay more, but the financial implications are grave.

So you put out an offer, and doctor after doctor declines,

Till you meet one who takes the offer and the business runs.
Then there's life. You were recently laid off work and no source of income.

Offers after offers you were turned down, till you come across one.

The pay is not suitable but just enough to stabilise you till you can get the next best offer.

It's a cruel three way game.
The MD knows he can't retain you,but will emply you for the time being.

You know you can't stay, but you have to manage.

Then there's life, carefully pulling the strings behind you and your employer.
