The Pig Affair - Ramaphosa cuts R15 million deal with Afriforum to save Thandi Modise.
Following the ANC NEC Resolution that members  who are accused of corruption and have matters against them in court should step down, Ramaphosa deployed emissaries to request Afriforum to drop the Pig Case against Modise, who now serves as the speaker of the national assembly.
In 2014, the National Council of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA) approached Afriforum after they found that Thandi Modise’s farm was left abandoned for weeks.
More than 50 pigs and 80 animals were found dead on the farm after being neglected, while other pigs had resorted to eating the dead bodies of other animals and were drinking their own pee.
Agreements reached on the deal;
1. Afriforum to be paid R15m to drop the charges.
2. Government to prioritize & fully support Afriforum's campaign against farm murders.
3. Modise to get rid of Public Protector Adv Busisiwe Mkhwebane through parliamentary processes.
(PP Adv Busi's is victimized because she wants to release the CR17 Bank Statements, FNB also recently issued a statement stating that they will be freezing all accounts which sponsors or intends to sponsor Adv Busi's legal fees).

It later emerged that workers were not paid and were being starved on Modise’s farm too, a warrant of arrest was since issued against Modise but was later suspended.

The NSPCA had to Kill 117 animals due to their dire condition.
