Thread of South Asian Jon headcanon, by someone who is south Asian!

My headcanon is that Jon is hindu, and growing up they absolutely loved diwali, as even without his parents, Jon's grandma tried to make it as special as she could and would teach them stories about Ram's and Sita's journey and why they celebrate it.

Jon always loved hearing stories about the different gods and would sometimes pester his grandma tell them to them even when it wasn't diwali. Sometimes, Jon's grandmother would tell them about how diwali is like back and Jon really wish they could go and experience it

Jon has only been back home to India once when they were really young with their mum and dad, so they don't remember much and really wish they could go again, but sadly, grandma didnt have enough money and after uni, they threw themselves straight into work & haven't had the time
