someone pointed this out to me and i havent thought of it any other way since. persona 4 was supposed to be a pro-lgbtq game, but got flipped into a anit-lgbtq game. it makes complete sense if you think about it.

the fact that yosuke was cut to be a canon love option is the first fact. the second fact is that yukiko and chie have something not straight going on, the third is everything with kanji and naoto. a lot of the games statements were probably meant to be pro trans and pro lgbtq

especially since the truth is coming to terms with the part of yourself you want to hide. i find it interesting that atlus, just randomly scrapped the half development of that plot, and changed it to be more homophobic, especially visible with kanji and yosukes character.

i genuinely have no real clue why they would do that but its interesting to realize that most of the characters are lgbtq coded in p4
