Advice to use law as the "means to the end of building the kingdom of god" concerns many people regardless of the belief of the person who says it. Particularly a nominee from a party explicitly engaged in attempting to foist religious morality on other people.

If you can't comprehend why that language is worrisome, perhaps you could *ask* someone concerned about it why they feel that way rather than presuming it's because they're either bigoted or ignorant.
