Why you don’t get what you want.

7 classic mistakes to avoid.

// THREAD //
1. You rely on other people

High expectations lead to disappointment. That person you like doesn’t respond? You don’t hear from your interview/client? Persist, give a chance, otherwise move on. Don& #39;t depend on others to succeed. Wasting time is expensive, new things will come.
2. You want everything now

Your sale may not close today, but it will in 5 months. You may not go out with that person you like today, but you might in 5 months. Remember, things are not always meant to be. And reality is, things happens when they happen. Don& #39;t punish yourself.
3. You don’t ask

Are you afraid to ask someone out? Ask for a discount? A salary increase or promotion? Look… If you don’t ask, you don’t get. Rule of life. Everything can be negotiated and achieved by asking. The sooner you apply this rule, the more you start getting.
4. You go after things that you don’t want

You believe “it is the right thing to do”. Or you see others doing it and follow. “What will make me more money?” is a trap. Instead ask “Why am I doing this? Do I like it?”. Question yourself to achieve what you really want in life.
5. You don’t enjoy the journey

“I want to be fit” or “I want to build a business". Truth is, you only think about the destination. Daydreaming won’t help you achieve your dreams. Think about the process & the effort. If you aren& #39;t enjoying the journey, there is no destination.
6. You have a short-term vision

You don’t ask yourself “What impact will this decision have in 12 months?”. Living the present is great. But find out what you want, where you want to be & how you will get there. Long-term vision is priceless; strategic mindsets attract success.
7. You get comfortable

Repetitive routines can lead to disaster. In the gym, with your partner, at the workplace. One gets tired, bored, demotivated. “The ultimate measure is where one stands at times of challenge & controversy” - ML King. Challenge your life; meet the unknown.
