Something that I keep seeing in the online disabled community is the complaints or call-outs when some of us do not use (all the time or at all) accessibility features other of us need.
It is this uncomfortable balance between our own disabilities and symptoms, and the needs of others.

And just bc we are disabled doesn’t make us perfect when it comes to accessibility. I love that this app allows us to alt text. Doesn’t let us caption tho.
Anyway can we agree that if you, a disabled person, see another disabled person fail to meet an online access need you’ll send a message instead of a public reprimand? Bc at the end of the day you don’t know what that person is dealing w as far as their own disability.
We are all doing our best in this community and tbh that energy needs to be directed at ableds who outright refuse to be accessible, just bc.
