Defeating Time.

THREAD

(I)
The urgent will always win over the casual.

Society has led the young to believe there is time. There is not.

Patience is a virtue of results, Urgency a virtue of action.

Instilling awareness of time is not much hard. It only requires a few mindset shifts.

(II)
1) You are here and there at the same time.

Consider Time a line already engraved the second you are born.

Linear but not progressive.

Old, young; Born, dead; Here, there all the same line.

You are the constant. What you can do between points is not.

Leads to

(III)
2) Work like you lost 20 years of your time.

If you had 20 years time taken away from your life, how would you treat your mission?

What would you do differently?

What would you change if you were 20 years closer to your death.

Leads to

(IV)
3) Condense work to free time.

Parkinson's first Law: " Work expands so as to fill the time available for it's completion"

It is not how long it will take, it is how long you allow it to take.

Will is more powerful.

Learn how to work fast without compromising focus.
(V)
Train your brain to process data faster.

-Watch videos at 2X speed.
-Speed read.
-Learn an instrument
-Improve your memory.

Sharpen the saw.

Like any other skill it improves with practice.

(VI)
4) Avoid burnout.

Great things will not happen overnight.

Overburdening yourself with too much to handle will lead to unnecessary burnout.

Start slowly ,but remember how much work you can handle before burnout is not fixed and can increase.

Your limits are elastic.

(VI)
5) Use lower time units to measure progress.

Hours instead of months, years, etc.

Lower time units add agility and speed in progress.

A year does not account for all the time spent unused.

It is hard to waste an hour focused on deliberate progress.

(VII)
5)The quicker you work the quicker you are free.

This means not impatience with results, instead with actions.

The greater the vision, the more time it will take.

The journey towards freedom is long and abiding. Run towards it instead of walking.
