Southern Tagalog region is considered as one of the 'hotspots' for counter-insurgency operations—affecting countless civilians due to relentless attacks of gov't forces to communities which they tagged as 'highly-influenced' by alleged communist rebels.
These communities such as the Quezon-Laguna-Rizal boundary, in the mountain range of Sierra Madre, are also where one of the biggest China-funded projects under the Build, Build, Build program of the Duterte administration will take place—
the Kaliwa Dam which will displace hundreds of Dumagat-Remontados, and Tagalog farmers losing their livelihood and gravely affect the environment.

What is my point on this thread?
STATE TERRORISM is not just 'because the state wants to terrorize the people'. It is rooted in deep-seated issues such as fighting for ancestral land, securing the livelihood of the people, imperialist plunder etc.
As long as imperialism, feudalism, and bureaucrat-capitalism is plaguing our nation, we will never attain liberation from the chains of oppression. These are also the very reasons why the Filipino people will continue to fight back and resist the unjust system in our society!
