You must visit a Nazi death camp to appreciate its morbidity and how much Nazism juxtaposes with this current White House occupant’s lamentations. Towards the end of his reign Hitler blamed his defeat on the German people. It’s what his “Nero Decree” was all about. #Vote

I came to this conclusion because as a soldier stationed in Germany I visited a concentration camp, or the shell of what was left of it. I remember seeing residual human ash and gray soot swirling around the inside of the ovens. I felt spirits crying out from a mass grave.

Never in a million years did I think that we humans would ever again return to that dark precipice overlooking a dreaded abyss. Never again will we go back there. However, I unfortunately see how we are so susceptible to repetition especially with an aspiring tyrant in power.

As a relatively new grandfather I do not want my grandchildren growing up in a fascist country. They are Native and their plates will already be full with generational trauma. This is why I feel it’s a moral imperative for each and everyone of us to get out and #Vote .
