5 months ago we suffered the most heinous attacks in Canadian history. We rallied together. Became one. Became Nova Scotia strong. We were all in this together.

But sadly that truth was only for white people of Nova Scotia.

I’m truly ashamed of Nova Scotians right now.

This is Mi’kma’ki. This is my traditional, ancestral, current and future territory. Mi’kmaq people taught non native people to hunt, fish and survive on our territory. Now y’all treat us like this?

Yes there are seasons for reasons. To keep check of your greediness.

You rape the natural world for your benefit but cry fowl when we try to benefit.

You attack us. You hurt us. You try to control us. Every white Nova Scotian should be ashamed of the actions of these fishermen. This is 100% on all of you.

There’s serious lack of education from all of you. You have no idea what Treaty is. It’s absolutely disgusting.

We are the People of the Dawn. We’ve been here since time began. We know how to care for the land and animals.
