People ask me:

“What does ‘Discipline is the Shortcut’ mean? I thought there are no shortcuts???”

That sounds right, but it’s not really true. Here’s why ⬇️
Nothing produces results more reliably than discipline. Not motivation. Not talent. Not life hacks. Not books.

‘Discipline is the shortcut’ means the fastest path to getting what you want is through MORE and BETTER discipline.

This is not debatable. It’s pure unfiltered truth.
If your options are 1-year, 3-years, or 5-years . . . which one is the shortcut?

What would accelerate your progress from 5-years to 1-year? More and better discipline.

Apply that with any length of time to any objective that requires work.
‘Discipline is the shortcut’ doesn’t mean skipping steps, skipping work, or skipping responsibilities. It means choosing the most efficient and reliable path possible.
People who avoid discipline have an emotional belief that discipline is boring and takes too long.

They don’t realize the heavy personal cost of this false belief.

Because they avoid discipline, they end up taking 3x-10x longer to reach their goals . . . if they ever do.
How many people look back 10 months ago (or 10 years ago!) and privately think, “If I had only started back then 😢 I would have gotten it done by now 🤬”.

2 years of disciplined work sure feels like a shortcut when compared to 6 years of avoidance and regret.

Doesn’t it?
You can accelerate your progress to any objective you want through more and better discipline.

Circumstances will rarely be ideal and will always change.

It’s all about whether you choose DISCIPLINE or stay stuck on DEFAULT.

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
