Oisín was the last known survivor of the Fianna.

He sat on the beach, mourning the loss of his father and son, when suddenly he saw a woman on horseback riding across the waves. (As you do.)

Her name was Niamh.
Niamh told Oisin he deserved to be brought to the Undying Lands, to the Otherworld of the people from whom he was descended - Tír na nÓg

Oisin went with Niamh to the land of eternal youth.

There they fell in love.
Over three years, they had three children. Oisin had never known happiness like it. But still, in his heart, he longed to see Ireland once more.

With a heavy heart, Niamh told him time moves differently in Tír na nÓg. Three years to them, was three centuries in the mortal world.
Oisin was now determined to return and find out what happened to the memory of the Fianna.

NIamh gave him her horse and a warning: to never let his feet touch mortal soil.

He rode across the waves, and returned to Ireland.
Oisin was the poet, the bard, the storyteller of the Fianna. Their last survivor, it was his proud duty to tell the story of his fellow warriors, and of his family: his son Osgar, his mother Sadhbh and of course his father: Fionn Mac Cumhaill.
And so ends the Fenian Cycle. Two down. Two to go.
