Let's tell ourselves the truth. Personally I wasn't too pained that we lost Edo to APC, yeah you hearde right, APC lost Edo to APC.
Now having said that, in all of this fracas in Edo, I will largely blame Oshio.
Oshio betrayed him fellow party man too, Ize-Iyamu
Ize-Iyamu was a member of the committee that drafted the emergence of the APC. Ize-Iyamu was a core APC man and he was the CoS to Oshio then. Ize-Iyamu was positioned to become Oshio successor. Suddenly Oshio betrayed POI, perhaps he felt he won't be able to control POI bcoz of
His political savvy, Oshio betrayed POI and brought Obaseki (his protege) whom he thought he would be controlling.
As time went on when Obaseki had gotten the power, he felt he is the governor and he shouldn't be under the tutelage of anybody. Hence, the fight broke out.
The moral of this thread is that; Oshio should not cry of betrayal, he was selfish along the line. I wish POI would forgive Oshio, because Oshio prevented POI from becoming a governor.
POI was a better option and popular in 2016, but Oshio betrayed him. I feel for POI ambition
Like Asiwaju will rightly say, you don't allow your internal rancour to get to the outside world.
There are some APC Ministers in this admin who are aligned to PMB and not the Party. The truth is, the party comes first before any individual. The party makes the individual.
Unfortunately, these politicians worked against their party in Edo. As far as I am concerned, the APC isn't the loser in Edo, but Oshio is the biggest loser.
These Politicians have an agenda towards 2023, and the recent defections by those who at one time criticized the party
And this administration is part of the agenda.
In all of this, the NWC of the APC have the ears and eyes of the President, and as such, working on the naivety of President Buhari.
The game is the game, it is 2020, we await how this game pans out. One thing that is certain is
That, you can never rule out the politicians who stood by the party when it wasn't too strong, these politicians worked for the emergence of Buhari and made sure 2015 became a success.
Like I said, the game is the game, we await the outcome.
