Lots of people asking if they should wildcard or not...I asked myself that too after a pretty dire gameweek. But looking at my team, I still can't convince myself that using my wildcard now is the best idea. (Hey, it's a thread!)
If you look at my team based on GW2 results, you'd say it's pretty dire - hardly any Spurs, no Everton, nobody who just scored big points. But look at it based on GW1 and I'm pretty happy. Who will I want in for GW3? Or GW4? Or GW15, when a WC might be really handy?
What would I do on my wildcard? I'm pretty happy with my premium picks, and I still think they're going to score well in the long run. Equally, I'm comfortable with my defenders: sure, TAA and Doherty haven't returned massively yet but a lot of that is down to bad luck.
Southampton aren't looking in brilliant shape, but I still like my 4.5 def choices (KWP/Taylor/Justin all have attacking returns now) so I can't see myself being that desperate to switch up my defence on a wildcard. I want my defs to attack - clean sheets are a bonus for me.
My midfield: I'm sticking with Salah and I want a Utd asset, so I'll stick with Rashford for a bit. I was planning Auba to KDB this week, and might well still do that anyway. I want rid of ASM, but I'm pretty happy with Anguissa as a 4.5 after an assist and good game vs ITFC.
Forwards...started with Vardy so that it'd be easy to downgrade to whoever's in form. He's clearly still got goals in him, so I'm not in a mad rush to get rid of him either. Adams and Brewster? A Brewster loan out would be great, he can stay.
Adams has been unlucky not to return, having hit the post and had attacking returns disallowed. I still think it's only a matter of time.
So if I wildcard now...I might switch up Adams and ASM? And even then I'm not convinced I'd bother changing out Adams, there's just too few data points this season to convince me that he's busted yet. Do I really want to wildcard just to swap out ASM and Ramsdale?
Who am I desperate to bring in? Is Son essential now? Kane? DCL? If you think yes, would you have said that after GW1? Will you still be saying that after GW3?

You might - we don't know what'll happen. But I'm not convinced enough to use my WC in GW3 with a whole season left.
When I look at my team, there are plenty of players there capable of scoring 4. It's unlikely they will, sure, but everyone in my team is capable of pulling their own weight. It's just unlucky that none of them did this week, when so many players had spectacular hauls.
If you look at your team, and the results of the last 2 weeks, ask yourself if it's really in bad enough shape to need a WC before hitting the button. It might be the right move...but it might not be.
Most importantly, it's a game, and you can do what you want! If you think you'll have more fun this season by using WC now, then go for it! But I'm going to take the risk that form swings both ways, and hope that I'm not sat here in 3 weeks time on my WC with no team value =P
