AKOBO- OJURIN - IDI APE ROAD AND ITS CONTINUOUS SOCIAL EFFECT.

This is not a thread of justifications for the neglect of the road, I'm not a sycophant.
No one in his sane mind will defend the bad state of that road, it's the most deplorable road in Oyo state as at today.

The first time I passed through Akobo Ojurin Idi ape 12km road in Lagelu LGA was in 2018, that was almost a year after the commencement of the road, the development was met with enthusiasm and ecstasy because the roads construction was long overdue, but things did not go as...

...expected, maybe due to paucity of fund or lack of capital by the former handler of the project who got the contract from the former government, the current situation of the road is that 3 years after commencement of construction what we're left with is a deplorable...

...state of a 12km road infrastructure in the heart of a communities that have tens of thousands of people as inhabitants.
Vehicles owners are bitterly complaining about the state of this road which is an eyesore for even ordinary people paying visits to the area not to talk...

...of those that have no other choice but to live or work around that area, I can't fathom the distress students, civil servants, workers and other commercial actors who are also road users will be feeling this Monday morning of bumps.

...revoked the contract from the former contractor due to the snail pace to the delight of everyone, in the hope of seeing the contract given out with speed light. It's quite very disheartening that three months after the revocation the road is still left the way it is...

...though we've heard about how it's in the pipeline and the contract already going through due process. This thread is an appeal to every state mechanism on Twitter to help prompt the state govt to take expedite actions on this road, we understand the level of commitment...

I'm not a resident of the area not even close to the place, but the pain I always go through anytime I visit once in a while is a reflection of what the people domiciled their experience daily. Just using this platform..
