One of the first things the government needs to do is to tackle the testing and tracing system, before we move on too much to lockdowns/semi-lockdowns. Speaking from my experience of the last few days, it's clear there's an epidemic of the common cold virus spreading through
schools, which is pretty nasty and causing persistent coughs due to the unintended consequence of keeping kids out of school for six months = lower immunity. As a result, hundreds/thousands? of pupils are off with this nasty cough/cold, their parents trying to get tests,
but the system being swamped. Teachers also off due to this. So now children are again losing out on an education and also unable to get a negative test to prove they can return to school. Perhaps one solution to this would be for the NHS/Govt/Test and Trace geniuses to send
thousands of tests directly to schools and allow children to go back. @BorisJohnson promised that schools would be the last thing to close, but they are closing anyway by default because of this.
Yes, we have coughs, and yes, we are unable to get a test.
