A lot of government messaging about how onus is on public to "follow the rules" or UK will face another lockdown.

A few research findings for context from @risj_oxford UK #covid19 news and information project.

1) Looking at reported behavior, vast majority are compliant 1/3
2) Vast majority also say they are willing to take wide range of additional preventive measures if adviced do so by government

So far so good. But there are challenges. As of mid-August-

a) Only 58% agree government has explained what they can do in response to the pandemic 2/3
b) Only 44% regard the UK government as a trustworthy (6 or more on 10 point scale) source of information about #COVID19
c) And 38% say they are very or extremely concerned about false or misleading information about coronavirus from the UK government
