LSY asks if taewon+yoon were involved in the discussion for the structure of this show. like how sometimes directors create movies w/ specific actors in mind! yoon explains that they recruited KTW first then they thought about recruiting a younger, active idol,&yoon was mentioned

taewon says him and yoon's age gap may be big but soul wise, they are the same age/friends

yoon monitored some of the comments on the show and what made him happiest was that him and taewon showed good chemistry but also that this show brought healing to its audience

they spend about an hour filming each episode! yoon says there's rarely a moment of silence, they're constantly in conversation.

LSY says he's curious what they talk about, but yoon says there's usually not much significant substance

KTW never reads the script before filming. it's all genuine, first-time reactions. he likes to live his life all the time like someone's filming him. yoon says those are words to think about but he thinks a little differently. he has to read before to know roughly what it's about

sometimes when it seems like KTW is going a little over-time on a certain topic yoon gently guides him to the next topic of convo haha

KTW says the purpose of 'kpop lyrics helper' is for winner and boowhal's synergy to gift back to the fans everything that they gifted to them via their music

yoon says one of the initial goals of 'kpop lyrics helper' was the urge listeners to take a deeper look into the lyrics of the songs they enjoy rather than just listening. he feels happy that they were able to make a positive influence that way

KTW explains his new album then asks if there's anything yoon would like to add^^ yoon says he was refraining from saying anything cus the staff said they have to listen to the song soon.. but he mentions the lead single is good! then KTW says "ok but wb the other songs!?"

yoon says he likes the lead single because it's the kind of song that really makes you feel as though you're the main character of the song even though you've never experienced what the lyrics are about

the question is whether they have good memory, and yoon says he thinks he does. you can't always write songs about the present, so he likes to write notes/memos about things he experiences in the moment that he can refer back to later

LSY asks whether they feel restricted to analyzing strictly kpop idol music only. KTW+yoon both say that's not true, and yoon says he thinks "kpop" is an umbrella term for any music that's korean. they're just focusing on idol songs to cater to the bigger fandoms out there

but they hope to branch out to explore other facets of korean music in the future!!!

LSY says he was able to break some prejudices he had towards idols in the first ep when they point out the 'omelas' reference and a darker meaning to the song.. he didn't know idol music could have that depth>>

yoon says that's why he thinks he's a good fit for this program. his perspective as someone who is an idol can allow himself to explain a bit better

LSY asks if there's any particular song/genre they'd like to introduce to the show. Yoon suggests hip-hop songs, since they're also very popular amongst youth nowadays. the lyrics are delivered in a way that makes it hard for u to listen, so it could be nice to ~slowly~ explain

KTW says listening to 'AH YEAH' for the second time feels different, and he says the lyric-delivery feels clear and understandable, a quality that he really values in songs

yoon also agrees that this quality is important, and it's something he tries to focus on when he tries to make music

LSY asks if a collab btwn KTW+yoon could be possible in the future.
yoon says he actually asked once if he could step in to help out w/ vocals, but KTW said that would just be a lot of suffering for yoon but KTW says it would be an honor for them to have him join

even just with 'AH YEAH', it sounds like a hit, esp since it can be really engaging for a live audience. KTW believes Boowhal can really revive once again with the help of Yoon

KTW says he feels blessed working with Yoon not only for introducing him to the world of idol music but because he can see that he still retains his innocence, despite being 27 years old. LSY adds that he can see how Yoon's genuinely such a nice person

they talk about a possible collab again. yoon thinks it'd be a nice image since the last song he sang on KOMS was boowhal's. LSY asks if they would write this song together&KTW says ofc. Their songs are dark/sad, so combining that w/ Yoon's colors could result in sth interesting

KTW says it's incredible how the phrase 'ah yeah' can encompass so many different meanings through its repetition. he thinks that can be sth his team can learn from too

Yoon says doing this show has made him reconsider his approach for writing music. Since a lot of the songs they've been analyzing so far for the show take references from books and films, Yoon has been considering doing that more for his songs from now on too
