stans of rbg being like "well the NAACP mourns after her!" as if the naacp wasn't founded by a group of 6 white people and two (2) black people.. the narratives are very white. as was all of rbg's activism. she was a supremacist. I'm sorry she died, but I'm not mourning.
there's been an influx of non black people and non indegenous people being like "you're illogical, you lack common sense" for pointing out the overt racism of this deceased white woman, so I'd like to address some things.
let's start with NAACP itself, the National Association of the Advancement of "Colored People" - this was founded in 1909 and was promised to be multiracial inclusive. However, W.E.B. Du Bois was the only african american member.
It took the association an entire year to legitimize his mission, despite the entire association being based off of his (Du Bois) personal work from the Niagara Movement in 1905!
The Niagra Movement began in 1905 and ended in 1910 (when Du Bois was able to finally publish the publication, "The Crisis: A Record of the Darker Races," obviously with this being made, his efforts were now easily ready for anyone to pick up, including the "Brownies" for kids")
The Niagara* Movement was a collective of *B 🖤 L 🤎 A 🖤 C 🤎 K* INTELLECTUALS that advocated for the full political, civil, and social rights for african americans. In contrast to Booker T. washington's philosophical rubbish in the Atlanta Compromise of 1895.
Now, obviously the message behind the Niagara Movement simply didn't end in 1910, it was brought to life through Du Bois' writings that were published in "The Crisis: A Record of the Darker Races"
This publication gave Black intellectuals a platform to educate, share their artwork, and aforementioned above, the publication was juvenilized for children to understand as well, ALL written by WEB Du Bois.
The Niagara Movement was set forth in an attempt to end racial segregation and disenfranchisement.
To continue, Du Bois efforts remain extremely crucial to the advancements of not only black people, but E V E R Y O N E! so much to the point that "The Crisis" remains the official publication from the NAACP that is given out quarterly. quarterly? I'm not sure but it seems racist
Now, since I just wanted to inform each individual aspect, I will be continuing with how this relates to RBG shortly, I am tired. I'm going to bed. I will continue in the morning. :) for now, ask yourself this, "RBG had access to this information, how was she so misguided?"
good morning! I'm continuing this today. :) just so you don't think I'm being stupid, I've actually been researching what specifically RBG has done. yes, she's aided in the plight for gender equality, but what does that mean for women of COLOR? - no articles seem to touch on that
William Edward Burghardt Du Bois, a BLACK sociologist, socialist, historian, civil rights activist, Pan-Africanist, author, writer, and editor. Completed graduate work at the University of Berlin, Harvard Law School - where he was the first Black person to earn a doctorate! 🥰🤎
Historically, we can see Black people consistently being the blue print for all political movements. The NAACP was completely based off of Du Bois and his mission, and all of his efforts. He was not just "one of the founders" he was the voice, the power, the reason it exists!
Of course, a Black person simply cannot be successful on their own without white people feeling the need to attempt to steal the shine away from the immense hardwork and dedication Black people have done themselves for centuries.... being white gives people such immense audacity
To try and make an entire career off of a Black man's success story, because you have some sort of "white savior" complex is beyond me. if you want to help, amazing love, but many of those helping only do it because they want to make up for their own guilt, or lack thereof.
Modern examples of this would be RBG and her stans coining her as this revolutionary woman for advocating for women's rights in the 70s, when black women and other women of color sought for that for centuries prior, but because of racism, of course the white woman's is honored :/
I should have said glorified, almost to say that without her, we would have been nowhere... a lot of you need to recognize that what she accomplished also happened because she's a privilged white woman in politics, she didn't have limits against her based on her race, to start.
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, RBG was born in 1933. All of the information pertaining to the NAACP and it's origins were right there for her, she grew up with resources to this information, went to Du Bois school, and still showed extreme white supremacy.
In RBG'S chambers, she has this quote from the Old Testament, "Justice, justice thou shalt pursue" - yes, I agree. Which is why I can't seem to comprehend why any one would defend this woman knowing how she has toted with the rights of ethnic minorities.
To start, there's this trend of comparing her work for gender discrimination to what Thurgood Marshall did for racial inequality.... do you see the stupidity in the comparison praise provided by Mr. BILL CLINTON? mind you, the "women" that she was advocating for weren't woc
let go of whatever white feminism is teaching because all anyone has to do to be a white feminist icon is be white.. that's it, brownie points if they're jewish because some of you are so diluted, that's the farthest extent of diversity you know.. but that's still... white.
I'm not antisemitic, I don't hate jews, I live across the street from the Chabad, I speak with the local Rabbi and my neighbors who also are jewish because I simply have always admired Judaism, and I respect people. However, there seems to be a trend where the actions of Jewish
Figures are celebrated (like RBG) despite their extremely distasteful words, actions, ideologies, etc. It appears some of you quite literally just support someone because they share your same religion, which is cool, I get it, but don't call someone anti jew for pointing it out
Rbg was not the icon you knew her to be. Again, being born after the publications of Web Du Bois' "The Crisis: A Record of the Darker Races" in the NAACP, and advocating for gender equality post the civil rights era, I don't understand her disdain toward Colin Kaepernick and blm
apologized but, it does not mean she changed her mentality, and a lot of you praise her for being immoral. also, a slew of you have been saying she "doesn't make the laws, she has no power, it's not her fault" so... as the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court she has no power?
the white people angry keep calling me stupid, antijew, etc making inaccurate false claims because I'm making valid points, with evidence. again, why is a black woman speaking on racial injustice so problematic? why am I being disrespected? why is my education being questioned?🙄
Anyway, for those that claim RBG doesn't have "power" let me explain the duties of the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court.
voting on cases, drafting opinions, senior status, etc. because tbe US supreme court is non hierarchical, the associate justices share the same influence on cases as the chief!
however, this does not mean they have the same "p o w e r" so don't assume I'm not aware of that. but relating to this, yes, Ruth could have selected more black candidates than the one she had during her entire decades as AJSC so stop defending her please! it's very annoying.
I'm moving into what she's done that proves she's a white supremacist now. I'm doing more research on this topic because again, white people are saying 1. They were lies that never happened
2. She didn't have power over the decisions
3. She didn't know
🙈🙄🤡 Embarrassing!
this case that has been the topic of discussion on all those tweets you have been seeing is the 2005 case "City of Sherrill v. Oneida Indian (*native american* indegenous for those of you not native, this is how you should refer to native americans unless they tell you not to!)
sorry that explanation cut off the name of the case lmfao but I digress, "city of Sherrill v. Oneida Indian Nation of New York"
the part that proves rbg a white supremacist is her having the MAJORITY of the power to revoke the rightful owners of their land in favor of the Doctrine of Discovery, which justifies genocide under imperialism and colonialism. The other justices were also all WHITE minus Thomas.
I'll be going in depth in a second but this is all just very sad. These people were stripped of their land!!!! do you know how sacred mother earth is to native americans? Do you realize their ancestral right over this entire country? I don't think many of you do y I'm sad for u
So, the ONEIDA TRIBE (bless ur hearts idk how you all don't have so much rightful hate towards non native ppl) POSSESSED (rightfully owned) approximately 6 MILLION acres of land that is now central new York! the white man's playground .. anyways chile, to continue
the oneida tribute (OIN) entered three (3) treaties with the United States.
• The Treaty of Fort Stanwix (1784)
• The Treaty of Fort Halmar (1789)
• The Treaty of Canandaigua (1794)
These treaties were codified into federal law in the Nonintercourse Act of 1790. This act also prohibited transacting any sale of Indian Territory without US Congressional consent and ratification. NY State did this anyway, illegally. Stripping the natives of their rightful land
BASICALLY, what I'm saying is Ruth Bader Ginsburg singlehandedly upheld the racism that "founded" this country by denying the OIN rights to their OWN land! a white supremacist / racist for revoking the rights of bipoc maybe you only listen to white politics if you support rbg
Once again, there were SO MANY women of color who did exactly what RBG had the privilege to do centuries before she was even born :// the narrative that she created gender equality in america is so extremely white washed lmfao and you poc supporting her are also colonizer simps
but that's exactly what politics in america is... a fuck ton of white americans dictating and toying with the livelihoods of every single american. however, obviously people of color are the ones who are heavily impacted the most.
To "simplify" my point here, remember when the kardashians found that homeless dude outside their shop and then brought them into their mansion and changed his life? if that man was black he'd be in jail for trespassing.
anyways, I know the kardashians have literally nothing to do with this thread, but for those of you who can't grasp important issues unless it relates to "you" I brought up the one family that everyone seems to subconsciously stan unintentionally / intentionally
