[1] Within the past 2 to 3 weeks, there have been several rumours circulating within both the local Korean community and the international fans that I-Land contestant K has made r@cist comments in the past. These rumours began in reference to a remark he made previously
[2] about touts in Harajuku. Although several translations from Japanese speakers themselves made it clear that the words K used had no r@cist/derogatory connotations, a mistranslation claiming that the words he had used were r@cist spread like wildfire & he was labelled a r@cist
[3] This resulted in several I-Land viewers turning their backs on him & refusing to vote for him. Many fans also threatened to boycott the final debut group if he was inside. Hashtags like #/K-out were also used on platforms like Twitter and Weverse to demand for K& #39;s elimination
[4] However, after the final debut group had already been announced without K inside, twitter user @/enhypen_0000 came forward on the 20th of September to confess that they had fabricated the rumour about his supposed r@cist remarks.

[6] We don& #39;t know if the reason the producers didn& #39;t choose him for the 7th spot was bc of this baseless controversy that threatened the popularity of the debut group if he were to be included. But we do know that his final votes were damaged bc of all the viewers who didn& #39;t vote
[7] for him bc of this controversy. This is not something to be taken lightly—this baseless rumour that took the person a minute to create has the potential to change K& #39;s life forever.
[8] As the label that is representing him in this issue, it is Belift Lab& #39;s responsibility to come forward and issue a statement to protect K now that the rumours have been proven false. We know K& #39;s fans have already done one round of mass emailing yesterday asking for +
[9] + K to be reintegrated to the group, & we truly appreciate the efforts. But it makes no sense that the label representing him has yet to make a statement regarding this issue even after a confession has been released.
[10] We propose that we conduct another round of mass emailing, demanding from the label these 3 main things:
1. Immediate action taken against the creators of the rumour
2. Official statement about the r@cism scandal
3. Feedback about the criteria for selection for the 7th spot
