a thread of my (I think) unpopular opinions:

when a group I stan or my bias gets super popular, I start feeling rly disconnected to them to the point I don’t feel a special love towards them anymore, i don’t purposely try to unstan or anything like that, it’s just I feel rly rly disconnected??

(ex: BTS, BP, Seulgi, Ryujin)

I feel genuinely scared to dislike a popular song, and super pressured and guilted into liking it and streaming, and I stop listening after it stops trending and I feel sad cuz I should’ve just listened to songs I actually enjoyed

I absolutely hate idols coming on to western media, they do absolutely no research on kpop and usually make idols uncomfy and always ask the same stupid questions (English songs? S/o? Collab?) Idols don’t need western validation and I don’t want kpop to become mainstream

I hate it when groups do fully English songs, like you’re kpop not pop, and when they do do fully English songs, they’re always hella repetitive and lack flavor

I hate idols doing collabs w western artists, kpop not pop, and it’s always the idols that have to adjust (learn English, culture, slang), it’s literally never the western artists that adjust so the idols r comfy for once?? I also get a vibe western artists want clout but idrk
