PLYMOUTH: Officers have set a wide perimeter west of 494 and north of Highway 55 in the search for a male suspect who fled on foot. They also cleared a home, but it is unclear what the male suspect is wanted for. Plymouth PD is being assisted by the Hennepin Co. Sheriff's Office.

Officers have requested assistance from a State Patrol helicopter but it has not yet arrived.

Trooper 9 is arriving in the area in minutes and Maple Grove is also providing assistance.

The male suspect is believed to be carrying a knife and is not wearing a shirt nor shoes.

State Patrol chopper diverted to assist in a search in south Minneapolis now back to base. Nothing further was heard in this Plymouth search but it appears the suspect was not apprehended.

Update: the search is still very much active in Plymouth for the suspect believed to be armed with a knife. It was still focused in the area we posted earlier in this thread.
