I’m all for clever procedural moves in Congress, but this would...not work. Under current Senate rules, the House could likely force the Senate to *dispose* of articles of impeachment, but that would take like 15 minutes if a majority saw it as a dilatory ruse, no trial required. https://twitter.com/jameshohmann/status/1307825562916990978
And if you really thought you had found some way to do this, perhaps by impeaching 200 officials or whatever, a majority in the Senate could just nuke the Senate rule that likely compels them to dispose of the articles of impeachment, and then they could completely ignore things.
And even if you could overcome that and get a trial going, nothing prevents the Senate from setting supplementary trial rules that allow other business to happen during the trial. That was true in the Clinton trial and the Trump trial.

Delay by impeachment won’t work.
