Recently some comments by Suda51 is intensifying the speculation for Travis Touchdown in Smash. So will Travis strike again, or will he be no more...hero?

Special thanks to @Kirb_Cube for bringing this to my attention.

I'll be looking over all the evidence for/against. THREAD
FOR:
★ Suda51 is a long time associate of Sakurai. He allowed staff at Grasshopper Manufacture to assist with Brawl's sound development (this is why he has a special thanks in the game).
★ Suda51 has stated numerous times he wants Travis in Smash.
★ Suda51 has also been a strong supporter of Nintendo and the Switch. He appeared in the Switch reveal, and all No More Heroes came out on Nintendo platforms first (with the exception of the short lived mobile game).
★ NMH is a healthy franchise with a new entry coming in 2021.
★ The support goes the other way too. Sakurai made an appearance at Foreign Video Game Unlawful Assembly 2K8 which was organized by Grasshopper Manufacture for their 10th anniversary.

...So what's holding Travis back?
AGAINST:
✖Travis has a lot of toilet humor. His charging is just him jackin his sword.
✖In terms of having a huge impact on video games, Travis is probably on the same level as Bayonetta. Not impossible, but far from the likes of Cloud, Ryu, Terry, and Hero who were other DLC
…and that's about it. Travis looks like he's ready to join the battle in nearly every sensible regard. The only big issue: has he been requested enough to warrant representation in Smash?

Also, why am I talking about this now?
. @SwitchPlayerMag recently held an interview with Suda51 and asked (paraphrasing), 'Do you think Travis will get an amiibo and will he join Smash?'

Suda said "no comment!" which is unusual as he's been quite *vocal* about his desire to see Travis in Smash**.
He told IGN that 'he wouldn't let Sakurai get away [this time]'. He made that comment in February 2017, so it was too late for Smash Ultimate's base roster, and possibly even for FP1. Also, Nintendo is choosing the characters this time which *could* increase his chances.
All in all, we'll have to wait to see what happens. With the remakes of NMH bound to come to the Switch at some point (rated, but not announced) it seems that either way, Travis has a bright future on Nintendo Switch.
