This is an Mi-24 Hind helicopter gunship. It is a land attack helicopter built by the Russians. However this land attack helicopter was what forced Niger Delta militants in the Gulf of Guinea go the negotiating table.

How?
The Attack on CAMP 5.

At the height of the Niger Delta insurgency CAMP 5 was the impregnable stronghold of militants at that time. The Nigerian Air Force, operating from the NAF Special Operations Group in Port Harcourt staged a daring attack on CAMP 5.
Mi-24 Hind attack helicopters was to carry out the attacks. They went with three ship formation and they said they were one ship. They gave the Romeo Gulf Call-sign as against the Sky Hawk call-sign they were known for because the militants were monitoring the radio frequency.
....and by the time they appeared at the creeks it was too late for them. In an environment where a little spark of light could start an inferno escape was virtually impossible. That was the heavy blow on the militants that forced them to the negotiating table.
Just months prio the Mi-35 Hind helicopter gunship foiled a militant attack smack right at sea. There was a situation where one of the offshore oil terminals came under threat right in the Atlantic ocean.
The NAF sent the MI-35 gunship, even though it didn't have a floatation system. They went hundreds of miles right into the ocean. The stunned militants who were not expecting the NAF will come after them in the Atlantic ocean with land attack helicopters fled on speedboats.
