Having a discussion in the Slayers discord is helping me realize one of my favorite things about the game, and it's emerging because of #SlayersJam.

So before I go into that, check the jam out, grab some Slayers stuff, and consider joining!

When I made Slayers, I wanted to make a game that was relatively easy to play.

I also wanted a game that catered to different play preferences.

2/7
I've had lots of times where I couldn't get players to agree to playing a game because they all wanted to do something different, stylistically, or in terms of what the mechanics supported.

So a lot of games never got off the ground.

What we're seeing with Slayers is that the game can handle so many different types of players, because each class is asymmetrical and approaches combat differently than the others!

Want to play something a little crunchier? We got that.
Want to sit back and play something really simple. You're covered there too.

Really love cards, or an element of another TTRPG? We can make a class that uses it.

The first card based class has already been submitted to the jam, and I know other people are working on other things beyond the dice rolling the game came with.

Slayers is growing, in unpredictable ways, infinitely.

Kinda like The City setting of the game. 😉

So yeah, I'm really excited with what's happening to Slayers, and it's only a "week old" in terms of public release.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their ideas and voices in #SlayersJam, you inspire me and fuel me to keep creating! https://itch.io/jam/slayers-jam
