Murdered a velvet curtain today

Obviously none of the edges are finished, it needs a lining, but I need to put the emblem on the back before I do any of that and I& #39;m just ... staring at it right now and being like "... how about ... nah ..."

When the Velvets don’t match so you’re gonna have to trim away all the blue around the emblem ....

Pins. Gonna hand-baste this in place, trim the edges, and then ... probably machine sew it? BASTING

Took a break for dinner (this didn’t take an actual eternity) but! Here’s what all of the very careful basting looked like before I trimmed away the excess velvet.

With the excess velvet trimmed. I’m still warring with myself about how I’m going to sew this on, NGL.

By 5 foot rule it’s already pretty good (though if I was leaving it I’d need to paint some of the exposed edges), but I REALLY want the edges embroidered because I’m a crazy person.
