There's a certain mentality that comes with being expected to win every game.

Same for Adams at RBL, Pulisic at BVB/Chelsea, Reyna at BVB, Richards at Bayern, Steffen at City, Dest at Ajax, etc...

Stepping onto the field every week and thinking "I'm expected to dominate from the first minute" is a mentality that's been missing from the USMNT.

Landon Donovan, Clint Dempsey, Jermaine Jones, etc. all played for winning clubs and brought those kinds of "who says we shouldn't win this game??" kind of swagger.

Once you've dominated a Serie A match with the pressure of playing for Juve, Concacaf is nothing.
