Ok I'm going to yell about this endcap some more because I don't have a job!
1. This endcap is empty. All that space? No. The fuller, the better. This looks sad and people don't actually buy off sad looking shit.

2. It is outdated! Classics are great but the thing about them is they've been read! A lot! Bought! A lot! Best thing to do is mix them in, new and old. Not only for discovery but also to signal to people who read those classics that "oh here's a new thing you would also love."
3. Idk who this endcap is for. It's not back in kids so I assume it's not for them. Probably trying to grab millennials sick of JKR's shit but you know why we're over her shit?

3 (cont): also this has always irked me about HP's placement in marketing is how removed it has become from the CHILDREN'S DEPARTMENT when it is a children's series. Which is why I'm annoyed there's only one MG book on here but that could be just me
4. This whole thing just seems lazy. All the fantasy that could be on here and this is it? Not the business.
5. Since Cemetery Boys is literally a ya book club pick they could have at least put that on there. AT LEAST. (is it a series? Idk and it doesn't matter, it should at least be on there!!)
6. Children of Blood and Bone is a good choice (magic, rising against injustice, readers could even choose what magical group they'd like to belong to etc) but it's also not very new and a huge bestseller anyway.
Like classics, bestsellers should be used sparingly on any display (except for, you know, a display of bestsellers) and if you're gonna put it there, use it to draw attention to something else similar!
That's why, when an author has a new book out, their backlist goes on display with it. Because if you like the backlist, you'll also like the new stuff.
anyway this endcap is annoying but I don't have a job so I have to go finish this cover letter
(but EYE would never have an endcap looking like this ok)
