Dear young Nigerians, more especially men, please pay attention to this thread. It's about the SARS operatives in PH City.
Christmas is drawing close and as expected, the tension makes people scamper for money to flex the festive period. Not only will marketers hike their prizes, Nigerian force men, especially SARS use this period to "obtain" any victim.
Last year at Choba, at about 8p.m, I and some a guy were picked up by members of SARS. In the van, one kept saying he knew we were innocent but we should bribe them 50k cos if they take us to cell, then it'd be 100k bail.
while they drove, they were contemplating if they should go and raid for "customers" behind Pritaso (Uniport alumnus know there) They ended up going there and also picked up some other boys and one young girl. Luckily, they nabbed a guy with large weight of dope
They kept scrolling through our pictures, texts on different social media accounts and any app they found suspicious. Whether you're a "yahoo boy" or not, you stand a chance to become a "customer" as long as you save any random picture from the internet.
There was a guy who they saw model pictures of Bellerin on his phone, and even after full convincing that he was an Arsenal fan, they still put it to him that he was using the pictures to "work his client"
Mind you, this isn't the Hollywood investigation where u just sit and claim innocence. These SARS men will keep beating you while asking you all these stupid questions. Sometimes they might even beat you to d point you hv no choice but call for anyone to snd you money for "bail."
Imagine using 40k to bail yourself from these men for doing nothing... So painful. To cut the story short, I didn't pay any money, but the trauma that period was too much to handle.
The best thing you can do for yourself as a young man rn is just stay indoors at night if you don't have any VERY IMPORTANT thing doing outside, especially in SARS hotspots in PH City.
Avoid certain bars and clubs (whenever they reopen) and mind what you save on your phone. whether you're "working" or not, anything can be used against you, so better be on the safer side.
"The man with the gun dictates the play" PLEASE never argue with an armed SARS man. Nigeria is a 3rd world, lawless country and nothing will happen if u get killed in the act of standing for yr right.
You will only trend on twitter with #EndSARS and that will be the end. Mind your dress code too. whether u like it or not, dreadlocks, piercings, tats and some designer clothes make u a prey to these men...
End of thread... stay safe. Now back to football
