By flipping one seat in Pennsylvania (PA-1 or PA-10), as well as the At Large districts of Alaska and Montana, Democrats can avert the disaster of a split EC having a majority Republican House delegation elect the President.
These seats are definitely competitive, as evidenced by the most recent high quality polling available in each state. If these races flip blue, then the place to look is to @justinamash, who is the most important vote in the MI delegation.
He’s registered as a Libertarian, but has caucused with the Rs. He’s also been an outspoken critic of Trump’s abuse of the executive. I’ve colored MI blue for the time being, as he has been a reliable anti-Trump vote.
That may change if Biden for instance, threatens to pack the SC if a nominee is picked and voted through the Senate. If he votes R, the MI delegation would be split 7R-7D.
