It begins!!!! The Community Relief Corps monthly fundraising drive.

As the rains show up, we need your help keeping our houseless neighbors sheltered, dry and warm.

We have to raise 7k $ over the next 20 days!

The CRC was formed by pivot response. A group of neighbors were already working on Public Health from a street level perspective and when C*VID happened, it was an easy pivot to a militant, disciplined Public Health Corps, and that's what we are building.
In the last almost 7 months, we have been deploying our teams in Lake City every week. On time, on task, we make our commitments.

Smoke, rain, sun, contagion, police harrassment... none have been successful in unseating us.
Public Health must come from us and be for us. Experts and scientists don't know how our lives work, what our needs are in relation to the burdens they place on us for our own safety.

Only we, the community, can keep us safe and healthy. The State has left us in the wind.
We predicted the C*VID crisis would last as long as 18 months (which itself is probably a short estimate) when many were assuming 4 months max.

We were first out in the streets in response to the p*ndemic, and weren't joined by any non profits or government agencies for 8 weeks.
We dont just do Mutual Aid, we don't just do Direct Action.

We also train new organizers, materially support existing work and help build networks of support that enable our whole region of "Seattle" to work together successfully.
In these 6 months we've:

Gathered and given out nearly 7,000 bottles of water

Served 500-700 meals per week

Ran a free survival and hygiene supply stock

All for our houseless neighbors, for free to them. No forms or sign ups.
All through August we ran a tent and tarps drive. We raised 50 tents and tarps, then matched yall with 60 sleeping bags from our pockets.

Those are all handed out.
During the Wikdfires we raised 2700 dollars to put our Elders and Compromised folks into motels, plus bought them groceries and other necessaries.

They are still enjoying their time away from the streets and recovering.
Additionally, our STREET RELIEF team was out 7 days a week during the smoke to make sure our folks had masks, water and food.

Again, when the City failed our Community stood up. We didn't wait.
Literally all that we do is serve the people. When we aren't serving we are better organizing ourselves to serve better.

All of this has been made possible by yall getting behind us in such a huge way. We need your continued solidarity as we continue to develop!
A little dated but you can get a peek at our fulfillment space where we keep all our basic needs and shelf stable goods for distribution
