In a world where one writes a single word/line & credits themselves as lyricist/composer, at the bottom among 10 others, GOT7 stands apart, EACH member credited ALONE/ almost always FIRST & ATOP a few, both in lyricism & composition to be rightfully called Singer-songwriters

My favourite part is rookie Jaebeom writing all of a songs lyrics all by himself. ALONE for Bad Behaviour. Unaltered by any other professional "producer"/lyricist from the company. Then Jackson and Mark follow suit writing just rap parts and then came Jinyoung!!!! His lyrics God!

Then since Flight log series just them all out writing songs. Every one. EVERY ALBUM. The best part is how they bring their own individuality into an OT7 song. They typically write songs without other members involving tgt with notable exceptions and unit songs.

It's like each song they produce is their own color. So they all make their own colors/ cook their own dish and bring to the party/album to make a wonderful feast or a rainbow of 7. And then we have units which are just a beautiful blend of styles good lord. I never have words!!!

Present: You & Me series is another perfect example of their work style. They not only write songs by themselves for their solos but they typically team up to form unit songs since then. There's always less people credited but the members are major part of it makes me so proud.

We see less of Jack/Mark in Ot7 songs since 2019. But we had Mirrors & Mark solo debut. 2019 also had JYP starting putting his filthy hands again and most of members songs got rejected or are improved upon by other producers too. But they're still the boys' songs so idc man

My favourite lyricist of all I I think is Yugyeom and his play on words he learnt from his Jinyoung/Ars/Beom hyungs. This man is just 23 and writes most of his songs alone with just Effn helping him out in arrangements to a minor bit. His ever experimental genius amazes my mind.

I know I haven't yet talked about my favourite lyrics from Got7 or why they deserve better recognition as artsits and self producing idols but can oomfs quote or hype their fav parts under this or as qrts?? I like to see them so I can make other threads and get inspo

I know this is GOT7 hype tweet but this pattern is seen for Day6 too. They write majority of their songs and are credited typically alone too. But here too there's a token major producer/writer duo with others pitchin in smaller degrees while ot7 are all main producers for g7

Yes my initial tweet was shading JYP for stealing credits coz he translated lyrics and wrote a line or smth. Jinyoung hinted how easy it is to be credited during cmn era how he got "credits" for writing 4 words in Runaway. But we all know he can write a whole song by himself.

I couldn't find a Wiki page listed with Focus'& Mirror's credits as tables but they're all individually listed in http://genius.com . All these songs are official works. I haven't even touched unofficial/ Offshore/ SoundCloud.

Genius is a funny site coz they list JB (GOT7) and Def/DEFSOUL (GOT7) together for every song lmfaooo! Same with Ars and Youngjae too. Lol who's gonna tell them Jaebeom is Def. and Ars is CYJ

Ooh ooh let's not forget how ATK are foreigners With NO Korean background!!! AND they all write lyrics in Korean + English; compose songs since trainee days. BamBam even wrote lyrics for the latest KBS Gayo Ending song although they had other lyricists! Stan Talent, Stan GOT7!!
