a thread of wayv’s mistreatment

i felt the need to repost it because now, even though wayv are confirmed to be a part of the nct brand, it is important to acknowledge the things sm put them through and maybe y’all will understand why people are angry with their decision

Starting in 2016, Kun was a “floating member” of nct u, he only appeared in the chinese version of “without you”

He then disappeared, and when nct 2018 occurred, and even though it was supposed to be his official debut, the brand didn’t really do anything for him and he was basically put in the background, with that being said, Kun only got to properly debut in January 2019 with Wayv

Kun spends a lot of his time producing beautiful high quality music for FREE, he only gets to upload his songs on soundcl0ud instead of sm officially releasing his work and giving him a check https://soundcloud.com/kunxd?ref=clipboard

He also recently (literally. an hour ago after things were announced) sent this bubble, take it as you will.

Continuing with Ten, who debuted in 2016 with nct’s first ever unit (!) , made little to no appearances until nct 2018 besides his two solo stations.

In 2017, Ten underwent knee surgery with no offical statement from the company so the fans had no idea whatsoever what was happening to him, many people who didn’t stan at that time have no idea to this day

Ten brought a lot of fans to NCT ever since his smrookies era and sm “rewarded” him by wasting his incredible talent and potential. Even though him getting more opportunities with joining SuperM in 2019, his mistreatment didn't stop

His name that consists of 3 letters was mispelled on merch, he was cut out of group pictures on official sites, and not a shocker, he got a total of 43 seconds worth of lines on their first EP.

Ten was the only one who didn’t have a fixed unit, mind you, he had no official accounts like he has ig now, he lost a lot of fans because of his inactivity

Winwin, where do i even start. SM chased and begged this boy for 2 years to join their company, giving him false hope and promises. His education, which was very important for both him and his parents, had to be discontinued because of his activities.

He flew from Seoul to Beijing overnight (completely alone) to attend school and then flew back the next night to training. While he was in 127, the company denied acting roles and solo activities for him solely because the offers only wanted him and not 127 as a whole.

Then he was completely erased from the group and pulled out from their first world tour even though he was advertised to attend it, they even left him out from anniversary merch AND SO MUCH MORE. on top of that we never really got an official statement on his departure.

Fans held up signs that celebrated Winwin’s anniversary while he was on stage, the staff had the audacity to took them down, his parents were there too

Lucas is seen as a money maker and a source of revenue by sm. As soon as they saw the great success of his debut and people being blown away by him, no nicer way to say this but they milked the f out of this man

Lucas drew thousands and thousands of fans to nct, and participated a great part in their success in 2018, yet his company can't even respect him enough and waited more than two years to take legal action against the unbearable racist and colorist comments he has received

i don't think i even have to mention that in superm he’s pushed in the back per usual. disappointing

for the newer members, they get the lowest exposure, when they were walking the MAMA red carpet, their names weren't even announced, only the 'former members.' Only good thing is that they decided to give them a little creative freedom eg. Yangyang and Hendery writing lyrics

And for the group as a whole, yes, it doesn't stop here, SM launched a whole Chinese label for them, yet they debuted with a recycled song, and until now it was still an ongoing debate whether they're under the nct label or not because the company refused to give a statement

they're supposed to be a cpop group yet they live and promote in korea, they were excluded from smtown in tokyo 2019 even though they had ZERO schedules and were probably just sitting in their dorms wondering why they're not there. They have STAFF that sell their info to sasaengs

Their phones are either being hacked or their pictures are being sold by staff too because winterwhite (a winwin sasaeng) has had a hold of this picture DAYS before it was put out to the public

girly on the left sold wayv’s flight information which led to a sasaeng sitting next to YY the whole time

tenbar and winwinbar worked together to provide backstage support for wayv and their staff for their wuhan fanmeeting, labelv gave them a list of things to buy and as you can see it’s a LOT of extra stuff and then the staff took all credit for it

well i am going to wrap this up, again, i wanted to make sure people don’t forget the hell this company put wayv through, let’s just sit back and see what nct2020 will offer for them
