so i have decided to make a thread before making peace with everything around streaming namjoon& #39;s solo works because persona hasn& #39;t reached its goal yet. i will try to just stream his work peacefully without getting angry about numbers after this.
first of all, before starting, i just want yall to read this with an unbiased mind. try not to come here with the purpose of disagreeing with me. read this completely, think about it and then reply if you want to. let& #39;s have a civil conversation without throwing labels
second, let me explain something.
solo stan/anti: a person who supports one member only and try to shade/hate on other members. (yeah i know hating on others would make them an akgae but almost every solo stan I& #39;ve came across have shaded other members)
solo stan/anti: a person who supports one member only and try to shade/hate on other members. (yeah i know hating on others would make them an akgae but almost every solo stan I& #39;ve came across have shaded other members)
i, myself, have supported every member& #39;s project and the group as a whole for my 4 years of stanning bts so let& #39;s get this clear. i have always supported all of them and will continue to do so.
i do NOT believe that the company is mistreating any member. i know no company is perfect but i believe all 7 of them are grown adults who has a say in their own career. they have their own lawyers, their families, their friends, etc and they don& #39;t need fans to save them.
okay so what i wanna talk about is simple. i just wanna know why compared to other members solo projects, fandom doesn& #39;t put the same energy for namjoon& #39;s.
before coming here with "mono has 118 #1 itunes" let me explain this as well. first of all, itunes is for buying, not streaming. when a huge group of people buy a track/album at the same time on itunes, it can reach number 1 for mere minutes or hours or days if the pace is steady
till months ago mono had 92 #1 itunes so how did it get more? i follow some fanbases that prepared this whole thing. they had accs which had funds, they would& #39;ve contacted the fanbases from countries in which mono didn& #39;t have #1 yet-
and ask for them to ask their followers to buy mono at the same time so mono would reach #1 on itunes. it didnt matter if it was for 5 mins, it was still a #1. so it wasnt just some armys going "yep i wanna buy mono now" n it ending up #1. it was planned or it wouldnt have worked
now the main thing. whether on spotify or youtube almost all of namjoon& #39;s solo works lack in numbers and i know that views and numbers don& #39;t determine that fandom loves him or not and all of those bs but doesn& #39;t the fandom support bts to the fullest-
cause numbers are a way to show appreciation? if that& #39;s not the case what& #39;s with fandom trying to break records every cb? isn& #39;t it to support bts as artists? so why can& #39;t that be the case for namjoon& #39;s solo stuff?
(and some of them should be considered as bts music like intro persona which is an intro to bts albums) so why we couldn& #39;t reach 70m for namjoon& #39;s birthday? why doesn& #39;t he have a 100m views mv after years and years of releasing solo music? why does he have only 1 mv above 50m?
why are the numbers low on spotify as well? winter flower doesn& #39;t even have 30m on spotify and it& #39;s been released this year. the mv isn& #39;t even 5m. crying over you doesn& #39;t even have 15m streams.
when someone tells you to stream his works it doesn& #39;t mean stop supporting other members and bts that some of yall get defensive and start screaming SOLO STAN. he& #39;s apart of bts and if you& #39;re a fan of bts you should support him as well.
every year I& #39;ve heard many repetitive excuses as to why numbers as low. once it was "it& #39;s an old project" then "there was drama", "mdr is the priority", "the mv dropped sooner so of course people wouldn& #39;t stream as much", "we have to focus on wiom for more gp support"
the excuses are a lot and i can list them till the end of this thread but i just wanna know what& #39;s so hard about streaming his works that instead of saying "alright i will add it to my playlist" it& #39;s them and "numbers aren& #39;t important"?
tbh im tired and i know that fandom will find another excuse next time he drops something. winter flower is his latest release but it feels like it was dropped 3 years ago. timeless and gajah are unknown tracks to most part of the fandom. crying over you couldn& #39;ve been a hit but-
many people got angry when it dropped instead of a cb announcement because they were waiting for one so bad and ignored COY. and the numbers are the proof. fandom not knowing many of his works is the proof. how many people know about "U"?
how many know buckubucku& #39;s official mv with more than 3M views is deleted off youtube? how many know it took intro persona one month to go from 67M to 68M?
no one says everyone is obligated to stream his works like there is no tomorrow, yeah everyone has different music taste but namjoon has released so many works with different genres for his solo works to look the same in case of numbers?
i made this thread just to let this go. i know i will see another karmy stream list with namjoon& #39;s solos excluded, i will see people struggling to reach another birthday goal and i will see people bitter about numbers that won& #39;t go up
but well namjoon has said that he will keep making music even if only one person listens. as a fan i really want him to know that we care about his solo music and appreciate them as much as we care about the group because of how much he has helped me with his works.
i really want him to know that him doing something as kim namjoon/RM is as great as doing something as BTS. i just want him to know how much we appreciate him as fans by streaming his works.
anyone can come here and tell me that im victimizing namjoon by wanting his solo stuff to be appreciated more but just i think there is no other way to show namjoon that we love the stuff he puts out there as an individual than streaming them. beside other works.
that& #39;s all i wanted to say and i think this will be my last time trying to say fandom is doing joon& #39;s solo stuff wrong. i will stream, ask people to stream and i will try my best to appreciate bts and member& #39;s solo music on my own. that& #39;s all.
persona only needs 5k till 70m. stream it between dynamite mvs https://youtu.be/M9Uy0opVF3s ">https://youtu.be/M9Uy0opVF...
