Landlords are actually evil, especially ones you live with
My sister just moved out of a flat where she lived with the landlord as a lodger so she asked for her £550 deposit back - the landlord disputed the claims and said that she had to do a half a days cleaning of the room and hire professional carpet cleaners
My sister then sent a formal letter (template from online) asking for evidence of receipts and evidence and look at the photos the girl was using to justify keeping £260

Like hun if it took you a half days work to clean that you must be having a laugh
The email is actually even better. She claims she experienced “verbal abuse” which was actually my sister asking her to please consider if she actually wants a flat mate in the future after she had entered her room without permission
Unhygienic??? How about when this landlord went to visit her boyfriend in London 3 times in April during National lockdown from Liverpool and then invited her friends into the house for a takeaway in May and my sister (an nhs worker) then spent the evening disinfecting rooms
And finally, I let you live until the time we originally agreed upon you should be grateful, Ellie hun you’re a nasty piece of work
FYI this girl hasn’t declared she’s a landlord, doesn’t pay for a tv license and tried to force my sister to buy it for her even though she doesn’t watch tv, broke lockdown protocols consistently over the covid period and was basically a nasty bitch
If your name is sally and you’ve just moved in with a girl called Ellie who owns the house you’re living in in liverpool, good luck
Oh and this girl did return the money in the end, her boyfriend dumped her and she got made redundant so there was some element of karma here
Guess she can just be a landlord and contribute literally nothing to society now
