Let's stop telling people to "write every day!" bcuz it's a message that doesn't reflect everyone's reality or capacity. And can, in fact, drive a lot of anxiety & other negative emotions.

Instead let's say, "Experiment & find a writing process that keeps you moving forward!"
I just think writers should know, especially new writers, that there's no "one true way or path" to writing or publication. There's many valid options & suggestions on how to get there.

In the end, it's about what works for you.

And, don't forget, joy is profitability too.
So don't make yourself sick, mentally, emotionally, physically, trying to follow a writing path someone else has set for themselves. There will likely be no joy in that for you. Writing is about creativity, and that creativity should absolutely include figuring out your process.
