Just witnessed an act of favoritism with the Fiji Police Force.

I was enjoying my friends company at the Kava Bure. Beside us was a group of Vanuatu boys. We were all enjoying when out of no where, a drunkard (wearing white vest)came a threw a cone at the Vanuatu boys.
The Vanuatu boys were going to let it pass, till the I-Taukei drunkards came back then a fight broke out.

When the police arrived, we explained what happened and was hoping that an arrest be made. We even told the police that the guy (drunkard) who started the fight is a police
officer. His name is Naca and lives in Raiwaqa. However, the Police just let the Naca go.

When i asked them, why did they let the guy go knowing very well we all saw what happened- the officers tried to tell me- "we have taken him in to the station" but what i clearly saw was...
the drunk guy crossing over from Damodar to catch a yellow gas taxi. When i continued to question the police officers, they threatened to take me in to the police station.

So heres the thing, if this happened to someone else (and i have witnessed it) the person would...
definitely be arrested and taken to the station. They even told me to go home before they arrest me for the curfew. You would arrest me and not arrest a guy who started a fight?
Why wasn't Naca arrested? Is it because he is a police officer ?
The Vanuatu boys are regional...
students and the officers should be more concerned about the safety of the regional friends who are far from home then having to experience this.

I am not going to let this slide. Would we want a guy like Naca be in the force ? Is there special treatment for people in the force
that although they are not on duty, whatever problems they begin will be swept under the carpet?

I would have gone to make a complaint at Samabula Station (because the police officers handling the situation was from there) but i have places to go to tomorrow and right now there
is curfew. I am disappointed how the situation was handled.

I demand that Naca be taken in for disciplinary actions by the Fiji Police Force. Remove him from the force if you have to. Would we want people like Naca @ the force doing his "so called duty of protecting the people"?
I also demand that Fiji Police Force answer my questions and investigate the Samabula Police Officers- why did they let Naca go?
