If you look at the words of God in Scripture there are certain things that make his anger kindle against a nation. Baby-killing, rampant sexual immorality, and haughtiness/arrogance in abundance are a few of those. Our opposition to these must be relentless...

...harsh words about such practices are just a start. We must preach the gospel with zeal and seek to do everything in our power to establish justice and practice mercy as the case may require according to Scripture in these areas...

...but if you look at our leadership in the evangelical church, do you see any fire in the belly about these issues? Any edge that would make you think that they have a sense of urgency at all? Do you not see softening on these issues at almost every turn?...

...That is not to say that our leaders dont have a fire in the belly at all. On the contrary we see an issue that they have consistent harsh rebukes for. Almost without fail. Do you know what issue it is?....

Our evangelical leaders have a fire in the belly to rebuke mean words. They cannot gaze upon strong language without their conscience burning within them to zealous rebuke it at every place. This is why Trump has broken their brains so obviously...

...Trumps policies are very tame in general. Sometimes the policies are the exact same as the previous administration but #BigEva has strong rebukes for Trump on them, when they were silent about them previously, why? Well because he uses harsh rhetoric and bad sounding words...

...want to get Tim Keller or Russell Moore or Danny Akin or Mohler to display some fire? Say something harsh about abortion or a democratic politician or a feminist. Thatll get the harshest of rebukes. Hell hath no fury like a BigEva leader hearing harsh words against a lib...

...youll get less of rebuke if you came out as a practicing homosexual, than if you say something harsh about homosexuality. The same is true of every issue ive mentioned. Youll be nuanced as a great brother who i have some disagreements with...

...say the word "sodomy" in a rebuke of our nations great sin and the fury of BigEva will fall upon you. Something has gone wrong. We dont hate the things God hates....we wink at them. Instead we reserve our fury for the things the world hates...

...and the world hates nothing more fervently than a conservative or a Christian who actually speaks like he has convictions. Something has gone seriously wrong with our leadership in evangelicalism.

Make no mistake they thrive on the idea that their people dont know the Bible but we do. We see how God speaks about sin and sinners. We see how the prophets spoke, we see how Paul, spoke we see how Christ spoke. Keller, Mohler, Moore, Akin and the like are the anomaly, not us.
