I’ll never forget asking my mom why people at school didn’t pray like we did and she said, “they’re white.” and I just went about my day.

w. african Christianity acts as if we’re (w. africans entrenched and hold onto so much sin and that we need to be extremely pious to achieve salvation. never mind, our colonizers were pagans & polytheists like us. absolutely everything is your fault.

to be w. african and a woman, our bodies inherently sinful and somehow are responsible for the violence inflicted on us.

I honestly don’t want to be apart of it anymore.
