the self identification scheme has been scrapped, trans / nb people need to go to a GP and get PROOF that they're "trans enough" to change their gender identity #UKTransRights

this can take years under the nhs. theyre asking for a dysphoria diagnosis, to see a GIC takes literal years. and the criteria states "significant distress" still im 99% sure, implying only severely dysphoric ppl will be given the go-ahead to transition #UKTransRights

and on top of that you have to have a mental health background check to make sure the dysphoria isn’t from a manic episode and you have to live as your gender for two years after the dysphoria diagnosis #UKTransRights
