every day I see a dozen op-eds on "how did we get so polarised", so I'll take the question. 12 years ago you elected a black guy as President and thus about 1/3rd of your country lost their shit & decided to burn the whole thing down so it'd never happen again.

So now that we've addressed this seemingly 24/ doubt that consumes you and your editor so, stop wasting newsprint on this foolish handwringing and FFS stop both sidesing this to disguise the fact that you and your editorial department fed this very thing for clicks for 15 years

But lets be real, just like "both sides!", "why so polarised?" is a bad faith question used to further drive traffic while continuing to deflect any and all responsibility held by the media.

Fuck this whole infotainment bulshit for the garbage model it is. I want m news to be boring af and factual af and I want to consume it because of the informtion it holds, not how well it matches a game show or gives me dopmine fixes.

As for op-eds, start a private blog or STFU
