1. Patriots, we got our noses bloodied in Edo and for the light of me, I can't even claim genuine sadness. From the onset my views were and remain clear. As the battle between Osiomole & Obaseki raged, we pleaded that they make up and find a way to work together for APC's sake/
2. The two continued on a campaign of calumny till the outcome became POI against Obaseki. That outcome was sad for me on two fronts. I wanted Obaseki to do his fight honourably and use another platform other than PDP. So for me, I engaged in "siddon" look. Well, the people have
3. spoken and loudly too. They want Obaseki no matter from which party. I am not an inner core APC so I don't know what are the politics that are playing out but one thing I can recognise is that what we have in Nigeria is "transactional" politics and not politics of ideology/
4. From the rank and file of @OfficialAPCNg from its elders to its youth many do not have any ideology. Many youths are there for positions they hope to get and they are unhappy they are not getting these positions. Many will & do work against the interest of APC at the drop of/
5. an inducement. Of course they are many who genuinely love APC and work for the party despite non being recognised. We lack an ideology in APC. What does our party believe in? What are our core values? Apart from the "Change" slogan in 2015, what have we developed to become?
6. I would say nothing. We cross-carpet at will, Yakubu Dogara in and out, Misau in and out, Gorodum dancing treachery, Pa Oyegun full of mischief, Fayemi, I can't even begin to describe that one-inordinate ambition every where. Why on earth are people not putting Nigeria first?
7. Transactional politics-what is in it for me? This will not build a party, not at all. This Obaseki election had many APC Governors working against POI. Should POI even have emerged our candidate before? No!, if we are honest with ourselves, but when the party makes a choice-/
8. Every member of the party should work with that choice otherwise they leave the party or they abstain from the entire process. Osiomole has lost on this and he needs to look inwards-a leader who loses followers in droves is on a stroll. But luckily for him, the sword is off/
9. He was no longer the Chairman of APC. APC went into this election without a Chairman. That is the confusion in our party. We need a strong Chairman, but I am afraid we will not have one without an ideology and a strong believer in that ideology. All the players presently are/
10. out for what they want to achieve in 2023. It is all horsetrading-about them. We the people don't seem to matter. Why is the allure of ruling as Governor etc so much greater than service to our nation. Left to me, without an ideology APC is a gonner. Which is why I still say:
11. Only we the people can call all these marauding and thieving-minded politicians to order. Sacrifices have to be made. We MUST ALL JOIN political parties. Democracy must be ingrained at Ward level upwards. Democracy must be enthroned at community level, even in CDAs etc/
12. So long as we are onlookers, change will never come. I am first and foremost a cheerleader of my country Nigeria. I am in APC because of my President and the change mantra, but I now need to be the change that I want. Let us all become the change we want./
13. If you are aligning and/or re-aligning against persons who you think are contenders for 2023 you are working for PDP and "Treacherous" is your name. You don't hurt your party for personal interest. God bless Nigeria. Amen
