Back in the day, Don Moen and Ron Kenoly were the Wizkid and Davido of Gospel music.
Michael Smith and Bob Fitts were the Run Town - ALWAYS came through but somehow remained lowkey.

Kirk Franklin was clearly Terry G - A lot of denominations had reservations because of his style.
They secretly wished he wasn’t the one that sang “My Life is in your hands”
Hosanna Music was what Hillsong is right now in the gospel music space and they did come through so much at the time.

Darlene Zschech was the Tiwa Savage of gospel music. Had so many good songs and features.
She also had songs to appeal to all levels of Christians.
Yolanda Adams and Nicole C. Mullen were like Yemi Alade. They had such good music and had their fan base was away from the traditional Christians

Who remembers Paul Wilbur?
He was like the Patty Obasi. Only people that listened to him, listened to him. If you know what I mean 😂
