expectancy on someone who was only 2 years younger than Lionel Messi, whom of which just came off the back of winning 4 in a row just one year prior, is essentially setting him up for failure.
The Media: the media in Madrid hated Bale from the get go, doing their absolute best to try and make everyone else as well, they started this agenda by trying to create this false image of a rift between Ronaldo and Bale.
The Fans: where do i even start with the fans, from booing him for taking a shot on a 1 on 1 as opposed to passing to Ronaldo (just 6 months after he won them 4 trophies in his first season at the club, scoring in 3 finals), to kicking his car after a 2-1 loss in El Clasico...
to arguably the best front three of all time just 6 weeks before they won the UCL, i could genuinely go on and on, the way the fans treated Bale was disgraceful.
Zinedine Zidane: the way Bale was treated by Zidane was nothing short of abysmal, from constantly benching him, to not even saying a word to him after he just scored the goal of his career in a UCL final, to publicly stating that he hopes he leaves, disgraceful.
The Club: for someone who scored more for the club than Ronaldo Nazario, had a similar goals to fame ratio as Raul, scored nearly twice as many goals as Luis Figo in a similar amount of games, has a better legacy as a player than Zinedine Zidane, the way he was treated by his...
own club was shocking, even after it was publicly announced by Zidane himself that Bale would be better off leaving, once Bale tries to leave to China for a ÂŁ1m a week contract, Madrid block the deal from happening, Iâm convinced there isnât a thing Bale couldâve done...
differently to change the outcome of his time as a Madrid player and thatâs completely unfair to a man who did so much for a club that never backed him in his 7 year stint.
