but the VPD don't CHARGE people for simple possession. they say that's why they are leaders in harm reduction and yes they really say that. what are the effects of these small seizures? https://twitter.com/JenStDen/status/1307356176120594433
here's a couple pages from the documents.
there are no dates and the ?categories? are inconsistent and illogical. "illicit-soft"? "chemical"? guys, i gotta tell you...

ok but what's the effect? if it was their personal, now they have to go get AGAIN. they have to go do whatever they just did to get their stuff AGAIN.
right.
if the seizure was made from a street-level dealer, there are consequences in multiple directions. there's the regular customers who have to go find a new source.

(try to not die)
the street-level person has had their inventory taken and has to explain this to their boss. will probably have to do something about it. how does he know youre not lying and took it for yourself? and now the boss has less product too. we'll cut it with this, its less expensive.
these are market interventions in a survival economy that contributed to the degradation of the overall supply. not the cause but a catalyst in an act of poisoning.

"we don't charge for simple possession"

does that matter at all?
criminalization is a process. its not the same thing as crime.
